Kinder Prep

Openings available in our Kinder Prep Program! Contact us to learn more!

Our unique Kinder Prep program is designed for children who turn 4 or 5 by September 1. We strike a balance between play-based and academically skilled learning, ensuring a comprehensive and engaging educational experience.

The primary goal is to ensure a seamless transition for students from our Kinder Prep program to kindergarten. We achieve this by building upon the foundational learning skills students will need in their next educational phase. This means that your child's learning journey will not be interrupted but will continue to progress smoothly, ensuring a confident start to their academic journey. Students will continue to learn literacy, math, and other cognitive skills. They will also practice and develop social and emotional skills, which are crucial for their success in elementary school.

Our Kinder Prep program is a rich tapestry of approaches and curriculums, ensuring a well-rounded educational experience. The class will use a diverse range of curriculums, including the Play to Learn curriculum, Heggerty Phonemic Awareness, and Handwriting without Tears. These will be combined with the Texas Prekindergarten and Kindergarten Guidelines, providing a solid foundation for learning. These resources will assist the teachers with benchmarking and guide planning and learning based on current research and each child's individual needs. Individualization will continue to be at the forefront for each child to ensure their continued success in emotional growth and academic success. This comprehensive approach ensures that your child's educational needs are met from all angles, fostering a well-rounded development.

Kinder Prep classes are open from 7:30AM to 5:00PM, Monday through Friday and available year-round. Families enrolled in our Kinder Prep classes may choose to add a Morning Extended Day from 7:00AM - 7:30AM and an Evening Extended Day from 5:00PM- 5:45PM.

Our classrooms and outdoor learning environments provide ample opportunities to explore, play, investigate, and socialize. Each full-time classroom has one lead teacher and at least two assistant teachers. We require all lead teachers to have a bachelors degree and all assistant teachers to have completed early childhood coursework. Our teachers are dedicated to creating a caring environment that meets the developmental and educational needs of all young learners.
