Circle C Child Development Center

Inclusion Programs

Our Inclusion Pre-K programs are part of a unique partnership with Austin Independent School District (AISD). Typically-developing children, enrolled through Circle C Child Development Center, and children with special needs, enrolled through AISD, share a pre-kindergarten classroom on the Clayton and Kiker Elementary School campuses. This program is team-taught with degreed teachers from both the Child Development Center and AISD, and enjoys resources from both campuses.

Inclusion pre-kindergarten classes are offered Monday thru Friday from 7:45 a.m. to 2:12 p.m. An extended hour and the after-school program can be added to lengthen the day. This program follows the AISD calendar. All-day care is available for most in-service days, some holidays, and spring break. Summer camp options are also available.

Children must be 4-years old by September 1st in order to enroll for the school year. There are some limited circumstances that allow us to include students who are three years old on or before September 1st in order to provide age equivalent peers for our younger students in the ASID inclusion program. Please contact our office if you have a three year old student who possibly meets this criteria that you would like for us to consider for the Pre-K inclusion program. The Inclusion Pre-K is an acceptance-based program. For more information about the application process, please contact our office.
